Art For The People now has a scholarship fund, the Judith Graebner Educational Fund. Donations to this fund will help low income people study art. Donors have included Community Ministries of Montgomery County and Congressman Albert Wynn. The first recipient was a man from Interfaith Works (Community Vision) adult shelter, in Silver Spring.
We have been asked to return to every location where we have presented projects.
Art For The People's aims include:
Expand and diversify its teaching staff.
Increase annual number of workshops and projects.
Develop the requisite administrative base to oversee this growth.
Continue to be an advocate for, and an implementer of, meaningful art projects that contribute to the well-being of the communities it serves.
The many, many individual donations are appreciated, and invaluable. AFTP also receives donations of art supplies and works with volunteers.
