Art For The People organized an extensive show of local painters of Ethiopian heritge, in partnership with the Takoma Park Community Action Group and the Takoma Park Arts & Humanities Commission. The show was curated by Dilip Sheth. Food was donated by a local restaurant, Abol Ethiopian Cuisine, and there was a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony provided by Langano Restaurant. There was also an exhibition of local Ethiopian children's art, and traditional Ethiopian music.

Mural for the Silver Spring-Takoma Park Food Cooperative
Community members of all ages decorated 4" bisque tiles with underglaze pencils, at a festival held by the co-op, They were covered with a clear glaze, fired and prepared for hanging outdoors at the Co-op. The project was made possible by AFTP and the Co-op.

Art for the People maintains a presence at many community events, including Magical Montgomery and the Takoma Park Jazz festival.
